Bill was born and raised on a farm in rural Cherokee County near the community of Reklaw. After approximately 16 years, his parents sold the farm and moved to Rusk. While attending school, Bill worked part time, participated in sports, and was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduating from Rusk High School and continuing working, Bill commuted two years to Tyler Junior College and two and one half years to Stephen F. Austin State University. After college and moving to Tyler, TX, Bill was employed by National Life and Accident Ins. Co for approximately five years. After approximately ten years of being in the insurance industry in Tyler, Bill returned to his hometown of Rusk and was employed by Texas Farm Bureau Ins. Co. He retired from Farm Bureau in April 1998. He then obtained his real estate license and began a new career in real estate. He obtained his brokers license in 2001 and successfully operated his personal office for ten years. In July 2017 he joined Tim Sansom as a broker associate at United Country Real Estate East Texas Land and Homes.
After working several years dealing with property values, writing property and casualty insurance and the market value for real estate listing and sales, Bill feels very capable to adequately assist you with any of your real estate needs. He invites friends, acquaintances, and all others to give him a call.
Bill and Judy, his wife of 48 years, live in Rusk and are active member of Branded By Christ Cowboy Church where Bill serves as an elder.
